Despite a late goal from Alba Closa Tarres, the Shawnee State women's soccer program ultimately posted too deep of a hole to climb out of in a 7-1 setback as the Bears dropped to 5-4 overall in a Mid-South Conference setback in Pulaski, Tenn. Tuesday afternoon.

Closa Tarres, who matched a team-high with her fourth goal of the season, put each of her three shots on frame in the second half to lead the Bears with her conversion to the top left corner of the net in the 84th.

SSU will turn its attention to a Thursday evening Mid-South Conference road bout at Pikeville. Game time is set for 5 p.m. at Bob Amos Soccer Complex.
