Georgetown, Ky. – Shawnee State Baseball dropped game one of their weekend series with Georgetown Friday night. The Bears would manage just three hits in the contest, without a run scored.

Ryan Lambert (FR/Greenup, Kentucky) would get the start for the Bears Friday night and went seven and one thirds innings allowing eight runs on ten hits, two walks while striking out ten. Nick Kaiser (JR/Garrettsville, Ohio) would be the first out of the pen for the Bears and would give them two thirds of an inning in relief. Kaiser managed two strikeouts along the way to complete his outing.
The Bears bats would be almost non-existent, as they would only get three hits on the day with zero runs. Christian Helton (SR/Lexington, Kentucky), George Duran (FR/Orlando, Florida), and Howie Rodriguez (FR/Orlando, Florida) would be the lone Bears to get a hit Friday night on their way to dropping game one to the Tigers.
The Bears will be back in action Saturday afternoon with a doubleheader against the Tigers to complete their conference series. First pitch is slated for 1:00 PM.
