Columbia, Ky. - Shawnee State men's basketball wrap up their two game road trip on Saturday afternoon when they take on (5) Lindsey Wilson at Biggers Sports Center.
The Bears are 12-13 on the season and 2-7 in the Mid-South Conference. Shawnee State fell to Cumberland (Tenn.) 79-78 on Thursday night. Jayllen Carter (SR/Portsmouth, Ohio) scored 24 points and Frederick Moore (SR/Cincinnati, Ohio) had 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead SSU.
Lindsey Wilson are 20-4 on the season and 5-4 in the MSC. The Blue Raiders have lost two in a row, most recently falling to (6) Pikeville 107-77 on the road Thursday night.
Shawnee State lost to Lindsey Wilson earlier this season, with the Blue Raiders winning this season's first match 85-74 in Portsmouth. The LWC win gave them a 13-5 advantage in the all-time series.
Saturday could be a momentous day for senior forward Frederick Moore. After Thursday's game, Moore is only 13 points away from 1,000 for his career. Moore would become just the 18th member of the men's basketball program to reach 1,000 career points.
