Game 1
This game looked to be another pitching battle early. The first three innings were scoreless, until Austin Hall (SR/Wheelersburg, Ohio)'s two-RBI single put the Bears on the board in the top of the fourth. The lead was short-lived thanks to the Bulldogs putting up two runs of their own in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Brandon Reaman (JR/Dayton, Ohio) put the Bears ahead in the fifth inning with a sacrifice fly to center. In the sixth inning the Bears struck again, as Chase Thurber (FR/Andover, Ohio)'s RBI double put SSU ahead by a score of 4-2. Moore finished the game strong, not allowing a single run over the final three frames on the way to his first victory of the season.

Union College struck early and often, scoring two runs in the first inning, one in the second and one in the third. SSU answered with two runs of their own in the top of the fourth inning. Shawnee States runs came via Conner Wilson (SR/San Diego, Calif.)'s two-run home run.
The Bears offense kicked into another gear, as they scored one run in the fifth on a Reaman RBI single. SSU tallied five runs in the top of the sixth inning with contributions from Andrew Vanthournout (SO/Bowling Green, Ky.) with an RBI and Reaman adding another RBI to his total. Union College tried to rally scoring two runs over the final two frames, but the late push by the Bears led them to a victory by a final score of 8-6
