Chillicothe, Ohio – Shawnee State men's basketball won again on Sunday afternoon, downing Ohio-Chillicothe 92-63.
The Bears were in command throughout the game, never trailing from the start. SSU would shoot 51.6% from the field, including 46.7% from three, hitting 14 threes en route the win. The Bears outrebounded the Hilltoppers 48-28, including 11 offensive rebounds.
Tamal Watkins (FR/Columbus, Ohio) led all scorers with 19 points, all in the first half. Frederick Moore (JR/Cincinnati, Ohio) added 18, Jayllen Carter (JR/Portsmouth, Ohio) had 12, J Murrell 11, and Ryan Duncan (JR/Dublin, Ohio) ended the day with 10.
OU-Chillicothe were led by Mikel Pritchard and Quentin Williams, each with 16 points.
With the win, Shawnee State climb above .500 for the first time this season, improving to 3-2. OU-Chillicothe are now 1-5 on the year.
The Bears are next in action on Tuesday, November 15th when they host NCAA-Division II opponent Ashland (Ky.). Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00pm.
