CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Tennis dropped its opening match of the season to No. 23 Campbellsville on Saturday, 9-0. The Bears (0-1, 0-1 MSC) got games from three of the nine matches against the Tigers (5-2, 2-0 MSC).
In doubles, the No. 3 pairing of Carmen Stanton and Aubrey Johnson (JR, Clarksville, Ohio) were the lone Shawnee State duo to not get blanked. They fell 8-1 in the third position.
Switching over to singles, Kyra Keeton (SR, Raceland, Ky.) took a game in the second set of the No. 1 match, while No. 4 Brianna Boggs (FR, Wheelersburg, Ohio) took her game in the opening set of a 6-1, 6-0 result.
Tennis will open up its home schedule is a rescheduled match for this Tuesday, March 18 at home against (RV) University of the Cumberlands. That match will get underway at 10:30 a.m. on the Dr. William E. Daehler Tennis Center courts.
