Mid-South All-Academic Team

PORTSMOUTH – Women's basketball placed six of its players on the Mid-South Conference All-Academic Team. To be eligible for the Academic All-MSC team, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 and be a sophomore, junior or senior.

Senior Tristan Rumfield earned the honor for the third time in as many possible chances. She is majoring in Middle Childhood Education. Fellow senior Allison Nagle earned the award for the second time after also being named to the Academic All-MSC team as a sophomore. She is also majoring in Middle Childhood Education.

Three junior college transfers – Diane Abbady, Ryan Edwards and Jessica Vidalez - earned Academic All-MSC honors in their first years at Shawnee State. Abbady is majoring in business, Edwards is majoring in Psychology and Vidalez is majoring in Exercise Science. Sophomore Rachael Young also earned the honor in her first season eligible. She is majoring in Business.
