Bio

Dailey, a native of Chillicothe, Ohio, brings a strong foundation in journalism and sports communication to the role. A recent graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, he joins SSU after completing his studies and gaining experience in play-by-play broadcasting and digital media work tied to collegiate athletics.

In his new position, Dailey will oversee media relations, game coverage, and communications strategy for all Shawnee State’s varsity programs. His deep familiarity with Ohio sports, combined with a passion for storytelling and athletic promotion, is expected to enhance the visibility of the Bears' into their upcoming move to the NCAA Division II-aligned Mountain East Conference. 

Shawnee State Director of Athletics Gerald Cadogan welcomed Dailey to the department, saying, “We are excited for Dewey to join the team, his background and passion for athletics will be key as SSU grows.”

Dailey’s appointment reflects SSU’s continued investment in professional leadership as the university builds its athletic brand and engages fans, media, and recruits throughout the region.
