Alex Pratt, a multi-year letterwinner and 2023 Shawnee State alumni who played under Shawnee State head coach Dave Hopkins, enters his second season as an assistant coach for the Shawnee State men's golf program when the 2025-26 season begins in August.

During the 2024-25 season, Shawnee State enjoyed a bit of a resurgence in its golf program, as the Bears were consistent all season long between primary scoring golfers Trey Cracraft, Ross Ferrell, Kyle Salamon and Tanner Stevenson as well as Logan Hughes and Max Kearns. Cracraft ultimately earned Second-Team All-River States Conference honors, Ferrell obtained River States Conference Men's Golfer of the Week accolades on April 3, and Cracraft, Ferrell, Salamon and Stevenson were named to at least one all-tournament team during the season. Cracraft and Salamon were ultimately named as College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honorees.

Pratt earned his bachelor's degree in just two-and-a-half years, graduating with a GPA north of 3.9 in business management. Pratt, who works for Southern Ohio Medical Center, resides in Wheelersburg.
