GRANVILLE, Ohio -- The men's golf program at Shawnee State got stout rounds of 73 from senior men's golfer
Ross Ferrell and junior talent
Trey Cracraft on the final day of the Ted Barclay Invitational Sunday, rising a position in the final standings from 10th to ninth in the two-day, 36-hole tournament which was held at the Denison Golf Club in Granville, Ohio.
Shawnee State, who shot a second-day 310, improved its scorecard by seven strokes en route to gaining a spot in the final rundown.
The Bears were led throughout the tournament by Ferrell, who shot back-to-back 73s to finish in a tie for 11th overall in the 67-player field. As with the first 18 holes of tournament play, Ferrell posted three birdies -- doing so on the first, sixth and 16th holes -- and 10 pars to ultimately finish with six birdies and 20 pars over his 36 holes of competition.
Cracraft, meanwhile, closed out his tournament efforts with a strong 18-hole effort on Day 2. The Maysville, Ky. product posted a one-under 34 on the front nine -- posting pars on eight holes and a birdie on the sixth green -- then added in three pars as well as birdies on the 16th and 18th holes to round out a day where Cracraft jumped from a tie for 60th on the leaderboard after the opening day to a tie for 44th at the end of the tournament.

Logan Hughes (t-58th),
Max Kearns (t-61st) and
Hunter Freeman (t-63rd) rounded out the order for Shawnee State's unit.
The men's golf program at Shawnee State will be back in action Monday, Sept. 8 and Tuesday, Sept. 9 when the Bears play in the Alice Lloyd Fall Invitational.
