The volleyball program at Shawnee State University (1-1) will take on an in-state foe to begin its home slate as the Bears will face Wilberforce (0-4) Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. inside the friendly confines of Waller Gymnasium. The contest will be a White Out.

Shawnee State (1-1)
- The Bears currently have six players posting between 14 to 20 kills, with Bree Hicks (20), Camille Hall (19), Whytney Faulkner (17), Natalie Reida and Katelynn Boerger (16 each) and Reagan Lewis (14) heading up the Shawnee State offensive attack.
- Hall, who holds a .267 attack percentage, leads the team from an efficiency standpoint.
- From a passing and defensive standpoint, Makaela Lovely's 48 assists and Lewis' 40 lead the unit in dimes, while Megan Steele's 40 digs lead Shawnee State defensively.
- Defensively, Brooke Bossert's 22 dives and Ava Jenkins' 21 also lead the Bears while Reida and Boerger each have seven blocks already through Shawnee State's first two matches of the year.
Wilberforce (0-4)
- The Bulldogs are currently being led by 5-9 redshirt freshman outside hitter/defensive specialist Mycole Solis (15 kills), 5-3 sophomore setter Jamaya Johnson (27 assists), 5-2 sophomore setter Dolceanna Crosby (25 assists), 5-6 sophomore middle hitter/defensive specialist Anani Sheppard (27 digs) and 5-8 sophomore outside hitter/defensive specialist Jada Griffin (20 digs).

Wednesday's match is not only the home opener for the Shawnee State volleyball program, but is the home opener for the entire athletic department for the 2025-26 season.
