The athletic department at Shawnee State University continued welcoming its student-athletes back to campus Tuesday with an Athletic Career Development Day, which was split into three different sessions and ran from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Vern Riffe Center for the Arts, Waller Gymnasium, and the Clark Memorial Public Library.
Student-athletes from each of the 22 sponsored sports that SSU currently fields were in attendance as leadership, resilience, time management, leveraging experiences to professional opportunities, and a workshop where career services and well-known business websites such as LinkedIn and Hiration were all discussed during the three sessions. Shawnee State University President Eric Braun also addressed all student-athletes with remarks crediting the student-athletes for their pride, passion, and ability to serve as a melting pot for the entire campus.
