SSU rises to sixth on third and final day of RSC Championships

DANIELS, W. Va. -- The women's golf program at Shawnee State completed its journey in the three-day River States Conference Championships Tuesday afternoon, jumping a position en route to finishing in sixth in the final team order in the three-day RSC Championship Tournament, which was held at The Resort at Glade Springs from Sunday through Tuesday in Daniels, W. Va.

Aly Wellman, who led Shawnee State's efforts throughout the three-day tournament, proved to be consistent through, shooting a three-day 267 to finish in 20th. Wellman held that position throughout the final 36 holes of competition, following up her 90 and 89 on Days 1 and 2, respectively, with a personal and team best 88 on the third and final day of competition.

Sidnea Belville ultimately held the second-best score throughout the three-day event en route to a 27th place finish, while Brynna Spencer also finished inside the top-30 by placing 29th as an individual.
