OXFORD, Ohio -- Behind another stout performance on Saturday that saw Shawnee State senior Olivia Cisco post her fourth top-20 finish in as many meets to begin the 2025 season, the Waverly native was named as the River States Conference Runner of the Week for the third time this fall, as announced by conference officials within the RSC realm Monday afternoon.

Cisco, who enjoyed another terrific week for the Bears, finished as the fastest River States Conference runner in the Women's 6K Blue event at the Swags Louisville XC Classic in Louisville, Ky. Cisco, the fastest RSC runner by one minute, two seconds in the event, hasn't finished worse than 16th in any of her four cross country meets so far this season. She outran 65 NCAA Division I runners in Saturday's 6K Blue race alone.

"Olivia Cisco had a great morning on Saturday," Shawnee State Director of Cross Country and Track and Field Conner Flynn said. "To place inside the top-20 in a field of over 400 athletes and battling with that level of competition makes me excited for what she can accomplish this November."
