The bears traveled to Richmond Indiana to face Earlham College. Play began with doubles and the Bear's third doubles team of Foose and Carpenter quickly downed Farst and Tafolla-Valencia of EC 8-3. SSU dropped the 1st doubles (Urban and Urban) and 2nd doubles (Ilea and Harman), each pair falling 8-7 in a tiebreaker. Earlham kept the ball rolling with first and second singles defeating the Bears. Lacey Urban fell at the one singles position to Maddie Cherry 6-0 6-1. Teegan Carpenter suffered a similar fate at two singles, falling 6-0 6-0 to Eric Dugan of EC. Despite this, the Bears battled back, winning the remainder of the matches; third, fourth, fifth, and sixth single (Antonia ilea, Lexy Urban, Brooklyn Foose, and McKenzie Harman) in dominant fashion clinching the match 5-4.

The Bear's women's team will take on Capital University next Thursday, September 28th at home at 3 PM.
