The week of March 13 saw the final home games of the regular season. Here's a recap of the results:
NACE Call of Duty vs. Northwood University 0 – 3 L
The Bears were swept by the top team in the league on senior night. They fell in Hardpoint game one, played on Zarqwa Hydroelectric, 143 – 250. Senior Austin Clark (gamertag: AyeC) claimed top eliminations for the unit with 35. Top assists went to Hayden Walters (gamertag: Killer) at six. Clark spent the most time on the hill this game at 1:02, followed closely by Nicholas Byers (gamertag: Menace) who spent 58 seconds on the objective.
Game two was a 4 – 6 Search and Destroy loss for the squad, this time on Breenbergh Hotel. Walters earned top eliminations, with eleven to his name. He also earned the only objective plant for the squad. Senior Kevin Ralph (gamertag: WhiteChicken) and Walters earned the only two assists for the Bears. Game three was a tough Control loss on Himmelmatt Expo, where the Bears fell 0 – 3. Walters and Byers tied for top eliminations during the final map, with each earning 18. Clark earned top assists with six.
NACE Super Smash Bros. vs Ashland University 2 – 0 W
This was a massive senior night win for the Bears, who cleaned house and emerged undefeated in NACE seasonal play. Benjamin Moushey (gamertag: Waywardness) led the charge on his senior night as Zelda, taking 4 stocks to put the squad in the lead. Following in second was Desmond Craft (gamertag: EchoForce) whose Joker claimed 8 stocks to take the first set.
Senior Mark Schueler (gamertag: Atlas) entered to lead game two. The senior snatched five stocks before falling, paving the way for Seth Schott (gamertag: ClownTimbs) to enter as Falco. He claimed three stocks before handing off to Moushey's Zelda. He cleaned up the remaining four stocks to claim the sweep for the squad and complete an undefeated NACE season.
