In another swift NACE victory, SSU Rocket League claimed a 3-0 win over Full Sail Armada last night.
The first game started with tight defense from both sides, but the Bears found an opening and claimed the first goal of the night, credited to Zach Ellis (gamertag: FireRaptor). After Full Sail tied up the score, Ellis nabbed another goal to reclaim the lead, which was extended by Kevin Keller, Jr. (gamertag: Quiet) to end the first game with a 3-1 win for SSU. Matthew Boldman (gamertag: Zioht) maintained the tight defense and had 2 saves to his credit.
Game two displayed the unit's ability to maintain momentum. They continued to find holes in Armada's defense while maintaining their own. This earned them another win, this time 5-0. By the end, Ellis and Keller had claimed 2 goals each while Boldman had 1 to his credit. Ellis earned 2 saves, while Boldman nabbed 1 of his own to keep their exciting lead.
The final game continued the momentum built by the Bears. After two goals from Ellis and one each from Boldman and Keller earned a lead, Full Sail answered back with one goal. This was followed by two more goals from Keller. With 1 final point from Boldman to close things out, SSU completes the sweep with an astonishing 7-1 win. Their teamwork was on display in this match: every single goal in this game was assisted by another member of the squad. 3 of these assists went to Boldman and Ellis respectively, with Keller earning his 1 assist on the final goal of the match.
