Mowery Joins Nine Stock Club Against Bethel

Last week, Bears Super Smash Bros. opened the Mid-South season with a clean 2 – 0 win over Bethel, including an exciting showing in the second game from Christopher Mowery (gamertag: Spaceminer).

Leading the roster for game one was Desmond Craft (gamertag: EchoForce) with his previously unseen Meta Knight gameplay. He claimed a whopping seven stocks, including three with only one stock remaining. Mark Schueler (gamertag: Atlas) entered second for the unit to clean up the first game. Schueler eliminated the final two stocks from Bethel's lineup to end the game.

Game two was dominated by Mowery. The freshman joined the nine stock club in this match, claiming all nine stocks held by Bethel without assistance from a teammate. As all three of Bethel's players began a round against him, Mowery eliminated their first stock without taking incoming damage; totaling him three stocks with no accumulated damage overall. The Toon Link player never dropped a stock, ending the match with a 9 – 0 game win for the Bears.
