Rocket League Dominates Cumberlands

In an explosive start to the Mid-South season, SSU Rocket League claimed a 3 – 0 sweep over University of the Cumberlands on Wednesday.

Game one showed the Bears demonstrating their skills with a 7 – 1 win. Matthew Boldman (gamertag: Zioht) earned three of the unit's goals, as well as an assist. Both Zach Ellis (gamertag: FireRaptor) and PJ Fiscus (gamertag: Fisci25) earned two goals each. Ellis assisted on two of his teammates' goals, while Fiscus earned an assist of his own.

Game two showed the same dominance as before, with an astonishing 9 – 1 win taken by the Bears. Two thirds of the unit's goals were scored by Ellis, who earned a total of six goals alongside assists on the three scored by his teammates. Boldman earned one goal to his credit and four assists of his own. Fiscus totaled two goals this game, completing both of his shots on goal successfully.

Game three was yet another win for the unit, this time in 3 – 1 fashion. Fiscus took the lead in goal count by claiming two goals. Boldman earned the third, as well as two assists. Ellis focused on the defense this game, earning three saves to top the board.

In a Mid-South game of their own, SSU Rocket League Gray claimed a clean sweep against Campbellsville Wednesday night.

Game one was an exciting 4 – 0 win for the unit. Kyler Taylor (gamertag: Doc.) nabbed three goals, as well as the team's only save. Tony Alltop (gamertag: LAG) earned one goal of his own, alongside an assist for his teammate.

Game two was a much closer win for the Bears, ending as a 3 – 2 win. Jarod Grady (gamertag: lilStuart) earned two of the team's goals, alongside one save. Taylor earned one foal of his own while topping the board for saves at 3 and one assist. Alltop earned two assists for his teammates and a save of his own. The final game was a 2 – 1 win for the unit.

JV Rocket League is back in action on December 7 for a 7:00 match against Bethel University.
