Portsmouth, Ohio (Women's Tennis) – The Shawnee State women's tennis team was unable to string together success, falling in double and singles play against Georgetown on Friday afternoon at Dr. William E. Daehler Tennis Center.
To open doubles action Molly Richards (FR/Washington Courthouse, Ohio) and Katy Singer (FR/Lucasville, Ohio) were defeated 8-1 by the duo of Shae Henry and Alyssa Kennedy. The next two slots suffered the same fate, as Kendi Kistler (SO/Chillicothe, Ohio) and Caleigh O' Neil fell 8-0, then Kiersten McGraw (FR/New Boston, Ohio) and Adrianna Johnson (FR/Clarksville, Ohio) lost 8-0.
SSU was unable to change their fates in singles play as all six players were defeated.
The Bears next match will be against St. Catharine. The match is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start on Friday at St. Catharine.
