The Shawnee State Tennis Team (0-1, 0-1 MSC) fell to the Tigers of Georgetown College 6-2 to open the 2012 season.

In singles, junior Ashley Fischer (Hamersville, OH) defeated Jacquelin Otis in No. 4 singles by scores of 6-4, 6-7, 10-4. Sophomore Crystal Carpenter and freshman Shelbie Wulfekamp teamed up in No. 3 doubles to defeat the team of Mackenzie Hatfield and Keira Lopez 8-6.
